Elopements

If you want to elope in our beautiful part of the world or anywhere in Australia then give me a call/ facetime or send me an email to discuss your wedding plans.

If you're local and want to elope, we can meet face to face. I am happy to travel anywhere!

I’ll explain all the legalities and answer any questions you have.

We will need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). We can do this together or I will email you this document for you both to complete with my guidance.

I will need to see your original birth certificates, photo ID (passport or drivers Licence) and proof of residence (Electricity Bill or Rates Notice). If either of you have been married before I will ask to see divorce papers or a death certificate.

The NOIM needs to be lodged with me at least 31 days before your wedding date and up to 18 months before.

+ We talk about the both of you and discuss the who, what, where, when and the how of your wedding so that I can use this information to draft your personalised ceremony.

+ We will talk about your vows; I encourage you to write these individually from the heart and only share them with me until the day, or if you need, I can give you ideas and/or assist you to write them.

+ I will provide your final ceremony script at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding day. We will also finalise any last-minute details required for the wedding.

+ We will meet a day or two before the wedding to finalise required paperwork and also quickly run through the wedding format and chosen music.

On the Day

+ I meet with you both and your witnesses (I can find a couple of willing locals if needed), at your chosen location to perform the wedding.

+ I can provide a P.A system to play your chosen ceremony music on the day.

+ Post wedding you will receive your commemorative marriage certificate, ceremony script, certificate of marriage and vow cards.

+ I will lodge all the legal documents to register your marriage and provide you guidance on how to obtain your official marriage certificate.  This usually takes 2 – 4 weeks for you to receive.

+Alternatively, for minimal fuss, I can order the official certificate on your behalf for the purchase fee.
